This… so good.

Boobs (The Junkshop Glam Discotheque)
and I wasn't checking what it might be worth, was just looking for a track listing and see it's an apparently a "rare" out of print compilation…

-related a 3:22 interview by Rick Ruben on tetragramton
I don’t know if I can take that much of Gene
But Rick is by far one of my favorite interviewers of all time, so there have been many that I’ve been like I don’t want to hear this and been pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed the interview
Disco 2000 as covered by Nick Cave
there are two releases of him doing this
this is the version that was on the Pulp single for "Bad Cover Version" reportedly he was told to do a bad cover version. Nobody from Pulp or Bad Seeds backed him here.

there is another version called the Disco 2000 - Pub Rock Version which was included in deluxe version of "Different People" this one sounds like it was done live

Mercury Rev- Snowflake midnight
A nine hour playlist of songs featuring the mellotron pulled together by Shindig! magazine… putting up the out of office sign

I didn’t realize Farragut said “Damn the torpedoes” during the civil war… torpedoes referred to mines at the time.
Anyway this is a great meat and potatoes rock and roll record. Maybe too meat and potatoes . Kind of like Bruce’s Born to Run this record was make or break for Petty’s career and had a difficult birth. It made it to #2 on the albums chart but The Wall proved unmovable.
It’s also where Jimmy Iovine (he of Beats) made his bones.
Greentea Peng - TELL DEM IT'S SUNNY
as one reviewer stated
We hear soul, dub, hip-hop and electronic music, so much so that if someone were to tell us that this record had been produced in Bristol during the '90s, we’d think nothing of it

Gum Parker - The Brakes
https://gumparker.bandcamp.com/album/the-brakes
saw this described as Classic US indie rock (GBV/Sebadoh/Pavement) with Buzzcocks inspired pop punk hooks
i would say it's shouty jangle pop

Pet Shop Boys - Pet Shop Boys (1983 Demo)
http://archive.org/details/pet-shop-boys-pet-shop-boys-1983-demo
also known as the Bobby O(rlando} sessions
based on what I can tell the only commercially released tracks from this demo where the original version of West End Girls and One More Chance
given the numerous releases of "Please" and other PSB rarities I don't if any these were released…

of course that was posted for the one person who doesn't stream music :)
Oh it’s been released many times in dodgy cd presses…I don’t know why it’s never appealed to me…it’s somewhere around here…they kind of sound unpolished
