It’s only rock and roll and I think I like it!!

The Dirty Knobs (Mike Campbell of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers)

I am finding it hard to pull the trigger on a ticket for their Birchmere show September 15… just seems too far away! I think it’s already been rescheduled at least twice

I can’t remember the last time I bought a concert ticket

I think it was mid-January for me
Concert industry is going to have to get a segment of people back in the habit…

I still don't think a true scene will reemerge until Spring of 2022. Yes, there will be one offs, some outdoor festivals, and some really terrible bands that agree to play half empty sheds and stadiums, but packed clubs and arenas are still very far away.

Hutch…what is the background on 12 & 35 in the title of the song?
I been listening a lot to Cat Power’s Sun… 8 years after its release am really getting into it

I saw her tour for this at the Warner Theatre…can’t remember who she opened for

Cat Power is someone I keep going back to…I regret calling her Crap Power

There’s a really cool track on this with Iggy Pop

One of my favorite albums..finally on LP (a few years ago).. the reissue has an extra song..and a couple of tracks are extended

Over the past few decades I have listened to some of his pre Buena Vista stuff and it tends to suck..recording quality sucks..his piano buried in mix or slathered with strings..songs not as good

Maybe I haven’t heard his 50s and 60s with the classic Cuban orchestras but I suppose his piano will be even more buried and solos short

In any case this album is a definitive masterpiece..it’s a shame he was “rediscovered” so late in life and at the same time a real blessing he was rediscovered

Kirsty MacColl - anything and everything by her

hard to believe it's been 20 years since she was tragically taken away from us… gone far far far to soon  :-X
