You want to say that might have worked better but would it? They would have muzzled him and used the same tired and proven failure of a conservative not to lose while ahead campaign playbook. If anyone reads the book can they summarize here!!? What I particularly don’t get is how blind they were to the fact Trump was visibly pulling ahead the last few weeks and yet they didn’t seem to react! They remained focused on the Trump threat to democracy and ignored immigration and inflation. If Trump was such a threat - and he was- wouldn’t you promise to do stuff to control immigration and help people feeling the inflation? Why would you just run on Biden great, 4 more years of more of the same?
