What Are You Listening To?

I just don't get it, but I think it's funny
(you're so vain is another heavy rotation track)
but that album has soo many of my favorites and I keep trying to get her to listen to other tracks

side one is amazing
1. "Movin' Out (Anthony's Song)"
2. "The Stranger"
3. "Just the Way You Are"
4. "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant"

Only the good and always a woman are too bad either

when I was 9, probably played this vinyl 100s of times (it was either that or rod steward/foreigner)
The Hollies
Wooden Shjips
If we were to start a What Band Shirt Are You Wearing?, this would be my post.

You're So Vain is a vibe.

Wait til she hears That's the Way I've Always Heard It Should Be.

I just saw Graham Nash like two weeks ago and he played two Hollies songs and I've been on such a early-era Hollies kick since then.

Billy Joel is profoundly lame in 2024 but damn if this song doesn't absolutely slap.

I'm not sure it slaps enough that I want to listen to a podcast discussing it. Honestly, I'm not sure any song slaps enough that I want to hear a podcast about it. But thanks.

Well, the podcast slaps too, so it might be worth a listen. Though we don't want to get too slap-happy here.

I'm highly doubtful as a person who thinks anyone who would record a podcast about a song should find some hobbies and get a life. Some people like music way too much and this community is a great example of that.

I would highly recommend you avoid “the history of rock and roll music in 500 songs” by Andrew Hickey because I don’t think you could take the brutal slapping

But I will add the 8 miles high episode is amazing
Followed up by the 4 episode one on sympathy for the devil
Oh the multi episode ones on VU aren’t to shabby either

Did you know that both the Grateful Dead and the Velvet Underground had the same name of their bands? The warlocks
Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway

A viable alternative to JRAD next Saturday, at Fillmore.
