the first step is admitting you have a problem.

I hate to go against a Patterson Hood pick, but put me in the same category.

Babasonicos "A Proposito".. as good as the previous four…

and Luna's Romantica/Rendezvous RSD vinyl issues; criminally overlooked albums.

spiritualized - "sweet heart sweet light"

can't get enough of this album
The Diamond Rugs album is different than I expected, but I still like it.

Reptar album is okay, but a little disappointing.  Don't mean to steal ideas from CoS' review, but they do lose a lot of their live energy on record.  I thought their EP was much better.
Ramones Its Alive

why the hell is beat on the brat not on this thing?

had a ramones day a couple of weeks ago - the live tracks on the expanded version of "leave home" (from the Roxy in LA in 76) blow away "it's alive" IMO (and it has "beat on the brat")

That is a good point.. I just prefer listening to LPs so much though… CDs leave me cold. I still may pick it up although I have Leave Home on vinyl…maybe the show is available on vinyl.. I"lll look around..
it's on spotify

Have been rocking the live set on the "Leave Home" reissue in the car lately. That whole show is amazing, 2nd half (starting w/"Listen to My Heart") especially awesome.

agreed, some of their later live stuff (even by 78) is a little polished - this set is raw, snotty and sloppy - shit, blitzkrieg bop wasn't even ubiquitous and stale yet

Man, I haven't listened to that in a while.  Thanks for reminding me these are on Spotify.

Enjoyable, I thought.  Couldn't say how often I'd listen, but it had a few catchy tunes for sure.

New Lower Dens is pretty good.  Shame I can't make the show tonight.
