What Are You Listening To?

the new sturgill simpson - some new country i can definitely get with, not that tiresomely earnest americana stuff.

Boris - Noise

I wish I would not have skipped their 930 Club show for this tour…

I was at that one. I think there was some coupon for buy one get one free tickets. Boris ruled but also it was the best time I have ever seen The Atlas Moth. This was also the first time I have seen Boris as a power trio. Michio Kurihara wasn't with them.
The Magic In Threes -3

Chill jazzy funk from G.E.D. records
Just found out the Magic In Threes album is part of a release a new track every week, 52 tracks in all..
The Slits- Cut

This album has taken me forever to acquire..I had to buy it off of discogs which I've been pretty happy with since I started using it recently..

I enjoyed that.

Toothgrinder - Schizophrenic Jubilee

I hear the term progressive metal used for these guys… I do not know if that is an accurate label.  They are heavy as fuck though.
The Body & Krieg  - The Body & Krieg

https://thebody.bandcamp.com/album/the-body-krieg

This collaborative album is so heavy.  I cant wait to see both bands next month on the same bill.. But too bad they wont be playing a collab set.
prince - around the world in a day (i remember the initial disappointment that it was not 'purple rain 2' - "america" is a jam.)
prince - sign o' the times/la la la he he hee 12"
Hypocrisy - A Taste Of Extreme Divinity
Swedish melodic death metal album from 2009

This is nice background music for work.
Intronaut - Habitual Levitations (Instilling Words With Tones)
I think 2016 will be the year that I finally see them…
Britta Phillips - Luck or Magic

Edit: this is really good.
Aesop Rock - the Impossible Kid

Damn why was I sleeping on this dude?  I had one album back in the day that I think I did not either like, or give enough time to like.  This one is instantly likeable.
Finally got my copy of Green River's "1984 Demos" and I'm loving it. Half of it is more punk leaning, the others clearly leaning toward the Mudhoney sound. Stone Gossard wasn't involved at this point so the more metal/Mother Love Bone sound isn't as present as on Dry as a Bone or Rehab Doll
Banyan's eponymous debut album

I hand no idea this project existed until 5 minutes ago and I'm really enjoying it, though I'm confused as to why Apple Music classifies it as "new age"
