What Are You Listening To?

Golden State Psychedelia  - another fine collection from Ace Records
あヴぁんだんど - ピクニック at nerd park
(Avandoned - Picnic at nerd park)
Exmortus - Ride Forth
New, bowie album.  Damn, it is very, very good.
XTC - Black Sea

Doing a little weekend music exploring…
Lunch Cult - Lunch Cult

I saw them last night at their sixth ever show… They were awesome.  All three members switched instruments and singing duties throughout their set (though one guy didn't play drums at all, just bass and guitar and singing).  And even though they all had written their own songs, they had a cohesiveness to them… RIYL Rock and Roll…

the lp is just too pricey at this point for me.. maybe if I really end up loving the cd i'll upgrade to the lp
XTC - Mummer
the Cult - Ceremony

One of my friends wrote to me yesterday and asked if I'd been listening to it over the weekend. He said that he was glad to have the weekend to hear it while he was still alive, because the album is so alive. It's so strange to have listened to it all weekend, and to be excited he was still making music, especially music that sounded like this, and then to have it all come down on Monday. It's a different album now.
