What Are You Listening To?

New Mac DeMarco. Diggin' the slower groves.
It's a pretty rare feeling but I wish I could go back in time and listen to the first 4 or 5 Butthole Surfers albums for the first time. I cant even fathom what was going through teenage nkotb's head when he 22 Going On 23 came on.
New Flithy Friends. Having a tough time with it. Hope it translates better live.
Just revisited the Mary Timony/Mary Timony Band records she put out in the 00's.  So damn good.
Finally got this…thievery was very influenced by this

One of those amazing 90s blood and fire reissues

Original Jamaican 70s issue had no cover and probably 1000or less…very expensive

King tubby at his most glorious

Thirty years old!!!

This album made quite an impression on me and has stayed with me…

The original LP ,which this is ,does not have the two “extra” tracks available on CD and tape…..that is wrong!
is it just me…
or does the new S-K song "hurry on home" sound like a Berlin (the band) outtake?

Haven't heard it yet but someone else said it reminded them of Priests.
Belly - Star

I of course don't have a physical copy :) but I will say it's really good
78 is an interesting time in his career…its the same month as the live Stage album
what a great touring band he had: belew, alomar and davis

this I'd like to see
Originally shot as a concert film, Bowie would later abandon the idea due to being dissatisfied with the final result.

I bought the entire pressure sounds set…all 100 cds…got them on flea bay for $450 including shipping..starting listening  with this one…wonderful …I only had three titles…hopefully this will satisfy my reggae cravings which are massive particularly in the summer

The combination of bunny lee riddims with king tubby mixing and the aggrovators playing is my current favorite jam

Too free jazzy for me…kind of sounds like the music of Jerry Goldsmith for The Planet of the Apes

I been downsizing my jazz collection because I just don’t listen to it as much…

I saw Wayne Shorter more than 10 years ago on national mall for Duke Ellington Jazz Festival

Meanwhile I am upsizing my reggae collection

Luckily Blue Notes have appreciated a ton…
Bob Dylan
More Blood, More Tracks
The Bootleg Series Vol.14

Wow, it's like listening to the original record for the first time!

I only listen to test pressing represses. I love music more than you do.
The box set doesn’t have the test pressing mix!

In fact it’s only available on the test pressing….nowhere else

Frustrating for box set owners although the box is fantastic if you love the album
