hailing from RVA i'm enjoying this outing by The Prabir Trio lead by Indian American Prabir Mehta.. guess it's best described as garage rock

i particularly like the swagger of this one

Prabir is a super cool dude I've been friends with for about a decade. Super active on a thousand good causes and runs a performing arts space called Gallery5.

Check out his earlier project Prabir + The Substitutes.
Very cool.. I have this one at the top of my next bandcamp friday wishlist and will find his earlier stuff…
Belafonte - Calypso

Trying to will some heat…

This LP should be in any self respecting collection…
If one doesn’t have it in a white label test pressing, does one even enjoy music?!
Not sure RCA had white label pressings

I am happy with my 1s/1s matrix stampers copy..

It’s just such a great record and can be had so cheap… like I find a copy for a buck just about every year… the album sold like hot cakes in 56
Dutronc comp

Bowie album I have listened to least (of the great ones)…ok let me back up…I mean I am not burnt out on it…stuff like Ziggy I am pretty burnt out on

Never realized Roy Bittan from E Street Band plays on this…wasn’t this recorded in 75? Yup September 75…Born to Run came out in late August of 75…that’s the first Bruce album Bittan is on

Also love the Bowie sax on TVC15

What a voice!

RIP Veronica “Ronnie” Bennett

Love that song, kinda of rediscovered it last year
Waxwings - Low To The Ground

definite desert island disc for me… really wish Dean would record more of his own stuff, but being a hired gun is probably more lucrative
Joy Oladokun
In Defense of My Own Happiness
