What Are You Listening To?

i heart radio . . . is the billy ray cyrus of internet music.
The new Jimmy Cliff is surprisingly excellent.

The new Old Crow Medicine show is lots of fun.

Nicola Conte Presents Viagem 4 is some excellent Brazilian.

Tried listening to Frank Ocean, it just wasn?t for me. The fact that it debuted at #2 on Billboard kills walkonby's theory that his coming out would kill his career.

you missed my later post where this is all a ploy on his part to use gayery to an advantage.  i still don't buy he's gay.  this is pr at its best.
I don't know, man…he sure kisses like he's gay.

Coming out as gay in the hip-hop/r&b world is about as effective a popularity ploy as it would be for an NFL player to declare he is into men.
its a different world

Yeah  it's as bad you think…

I've said to others that if you want to hear what mainstream rock sounded like 20 years ago, listen to country radio today. Jon Bon Jovi knew exactly what he was doing.

For rock and pop stars, including Staind?s Aaron Lewis, country isn?t an easy genre to crack

Because Darius Rucker already beat them there?  And isn't Bon Jovi's current stuff sounding more and more Country Rock these days, so is that because Country Rock caught up with them?

pretty good, actually
Going through the Roxy Music catalog today
Funny, I had never listened to Alabama Shakes or Portugal, The Man until after I got my FreeFest tickets earlier today…. The weird thing, it was on my I Heart Radio station……. I didn't even look them up or anything

music is strange.  forever i hated fiona apple.  her music sucked.  so i decided to listen to the new album because of the ridiculous title to prove once again that yes she sucks.  but it didn't.  it was incredible.  she became a goddess.  her old albums sound amazing now.  how does that happen.  like liver and lima beans.  how do you reverse your hatred of something without even trying.
Luna's Bewitched - just released on VINYL- after 18 years!
