That will freak you out late at night in an atered state if it suddenly comes up on shuffle, I guarantee it.
So kosmo whats up with the CD with the minimal artwork that looks like some secret code to confuse even hipsters? And is there an interesting back story to it?
I'm glad you asked kosmo, it's the cover art for Concept 1 96:VR: Variations by Thomas Brinkman and there is an interesting back story to it…

Richie Hawtin aka Plastikman put out a series of 12 12"records that would best described as experimental minimal yet still trippy techno.

Anyways Thomas Brinkman from Germany heard these records and thought to himself what would they sound like if I built a special turntable with two cartridges spaced evenly apart. Then send the sound from one cartidge to the left channel and the other to the right channel. Which produced the interesting effect of hearing the original track doubled. The sound literally bounces from one side to the other as the pattern repeats. It's an amazing collection of tracks and presents a unique way of listening to the artists initial vision.

who's producing?
I'm glad you asked.

Primarily Dr. Luke, responsible for some of my favorites including Kelly Clarkson, P!nk, Lady Sovereign and Daughtry, but also her husband Deryck Whibley of Sum 41, Rob Cavallo who produced Green Day, The Goo Goo Dolls, My Chemical Romance, Jewel, Butch Walker and Avril herself.

And Travis Barker plays some drums on the album too.
Cheater!

Howz it?
You know I'm good for downloading/buying it when the time comes! Its good, I think - seems like a natural progression from Alligator - only listened twice through, mellow but good

albums like this are only as good as their producers/songwriters, i liked the crap done by the matrix rather than the more recent crap
