FREEMAN

not much to say yet other than the obvious and predictable: lacks brownness
If you had just a minute to breathe
And they granted you one final wish
Would you ask for something
Like another chance?

serious answer… no… sober, just how FREEMAN created it.

I think the majority of the album is great.

really? Ok I will take your word for it…when i listened to it i kept thinking "Man, if I was high this would work!"

man i tried.. i like the first few songs and the end two songs… the last song is the best thing on it!!!!!!!!! that tells you something since its a five second recording looped over and over again! if he had done that last song schtick more it might have worked… there isn't enough humour on it…

its too slow and boring….. its amazing that greg shaw produced it… it has none of the sparkle of white pepper..

i did the ultimate test..went down to my mancave basemeent and listened to it a few times in the dark……..its just boring overall…..

i want my $8 back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i kid.. i love aaron freeman…will be glad to see him at the rock and roll hotel…
man i want to love it but it ain't happening… will be happy to be at the freeman show but i think the album is weak although i must admit i woke up with the i couldn't play my guitar like a man song in my head..that is definitely a highlight of the album though……
Admittedly, yes… it's slow…however, I wouldn't call it boring at all, but I am a sucker for singer song writer tunes and this I would say falls into that genre. Maybe I'm also just yearning for some new Ween tunes and this fit the bill?

I been listening to a lot of Los Lobos lately…

Colossal Head is still one of my favorite albums of the last 20 years.

Check out their side project Latin Playboys. It's like Latino Krautrock.

me too…and we've talked about it before yada.

weird thing is none of their other albums or even the latin playboys do it for me like that one…i think i've got all the los lobos records now except for the neighborhood and the disney one…

its so strange how the album is considered a big letdown.. i think it plain rocks…. i may buy the lp just to get them to sign it and hang it on a wall..its such a classic for me
"How will the wolf survive"  gets my vote.  Always thought that David Hidalgo would have been the best Jerry Garcia replacement……..
Alban Berg - Lulu Suite Ormandy/Philadelphia from Clock Tower thrift store in Centreville, VA
Much more concise and listenable than the Loutallica version (which I actually got all the way through ONCE)

im listening, to freeman.  the first song, is a very angry song, where it seems that gener is blaming others for all his problems.  other than that, good.
Kosmo will like
Yup liking what I've heard so far.  Much like the new The Broken Hearts supergroup with members of Blondie, Cars, Romantics and Chesterfield Kings, it's nice to hear straight head rock and roll with guitars, drums and harmonica.
Essential listening for the coming week - hint hint
