I listened.  Then questioned, the music of now.
Philip Glass - Symphonies No. 2 and 3

Bournemouth SO - Marin Alsop (from Baltimore SO)

Naxos 2003

Cheap heat, good music for getting things done.
Little Feat.

Worked late so I ran through their early catalog. Great stuff.
Gigolo Aunts  - Flippin' Out

a 90s Power Pop band I thought was lost to the wind, but there is a Wikipedia article on them and their key records still on the evil streaming services.

Best of GBV - Human Amusement at Hourly Rates - CD
love what I've heard of Dylan 1970.
Of course Dylan 1970 is for Dylan fans… outtakes of stuff that didn’t make it on Self Portrait or New Morning etc… or on the Self Portrait outtakes album “Dylan” or on the Self Portrait era outtakes Bootleg Series…

So scraping the barrel but if you love this period I think there is some gold here… Dylan singing Sam Cooke’s Cupid!!  Fantastic

Three CDs for $18… cheap gold too
Tribute albums tend to suck but not this one

Holly was one of the defining influences on the Beatles.. not a coincidence Paul is on this or that it was put out on his imprint.. Macca trying to help Buddy stay somewhat in the public eye by getting newer artists to cover Buddy
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Let Love In

My favorite of his records and my entry point

So fuckin good

Makes me wonder all these people having orgasms over the new Nick Cave: what do they think about his real good stuff

Who are these people having said orgasms?
Are you frickin kidding? You been under a rock the past 20 years? Pretty much every rock critic / reviewer out there goes bananas over anything he releases

You specified the new release and people were having orgasms about it… not his entire catalogue of the past 20 years.

Actually it’s been about 20 years of incredible reviews..

The guy can do no wrong

Some of his stuff the past 20 years has been good..some boring

The new stuff is boring
As much as I love
Push the Sky Away, he's been slowly putting me to sleep over the last several albums. I'm more of a Henry's Dream type of guy..
I'm with you, his 90's output is just without peer
Some good little gems in the next 20 years, but doesn't grab me like the 90s output
obviously a little more mature and going a different direction, but don't think that would have made me as big of a fan as I am if I only had his last two decades of output
