pretty sure their bmi and ascap dues are paid up.
have not listened to radio with actual on air personalities other than traffic and weather on the 8's or npr in forever.

gave up on finding the LP so I bought the CD (which I hate to do but a man can't wait forever)….

this album seems like the definition of bleak…

I was surprised to learn on the 930 Hall of Records page that she played the club in I think 1981.. I'd have liked to see her…

R,em and their album, life's rich pagent, to me, is a defining piece.  Every song, so intelligent and non sense together.

fascinating post.. no really..

If I ever hear another REM song I will want to blow my brains out.. they are definitely a band I do not get at all…i mean i was into them for a bit.. but any band that can write the song "stand" you have to be like WTF? I would take the much maligned we built this city over that turd…

My roomate in college for 2 years.. his favorite bands were U2 and REM.. he played them all the fuckin' time.. then the summer after his junior year he discovered All/Descendents

I thank the lord for that…

electrifying, not unlike sam cooke at the harlem square club, but harder and rougher.
