What Are You Listening To?

Paninaro!

Great set list

Brendan’s drumming reminds me a bit of Stewart Copeland

Finally added to my collection. The guy who sold it to me on discogs - a new seller-charged $18.50 for shipping media mail from Wisconsin. Postage paid was $4.83. On the other hand cost of 4LP set was $30 and condition was listed as VG/VG when it’s VG+/VG+ if not better. Overall a great deal.

Black Braid
Black Braid 1

“When most people think of black metal, they think of pasty white Scandinavian guys shrieking about topics like pagan rites, death, rebirth, and nature in the middle of the woods. It’s about fighting back against cultural oppression (when it’s not rooted in outright bigotry).

You know who else has been oppressed and forced to forget their origins while their ancestral lands have been taken over by interlopers over the span of hundreds of years? Native Americans. That’s why the solo black metal act Blackbraid and his particular brand of black metal stands out. It’s all so very real…”
Drove up to Boston and listened to New Order PCL, Nick Cave Let Love in and Dig Lazarus dig,New Order live disc from Retro box set, and Stones’ Exile on Mainstreet.

All really enjoyable. Tried some jazz (Art Pepper) and didn’t work. Same with the Black Angels.

The Stones Exile is the perfect driving music.
Brandi Carlile, on the radio.

I understand that she has a strong singing voice (though she often oversings), but her songwriting is terrible. Am I the only one who feels this way? I just don't get her appeal at all.

Nope.
Boris - Pink
Boris has taken the stage

Ran into a local doom metal band dude who said it’s his 17th Boris show

He used to work at record stores I shop

OMG it’s loud
Ok I was misinformed. Aerosmith is in the house

Kind of loud for Aerosmith standards

Beer prices seem up. They have really yummy nachos with beef!

Manute Bol also here
I used to have this awesome Manute Bol shirt in roughly 1987.

I'm also in a giant King Gizzard rabbit hole of listening pleasure.
