Is this the worst of the Joy Division knockoff bands or do The Killers have them beat?

The big news for me about these is the Libertines will reform to play both festivals.  Yes, including Pete, if he can stay out of jail/court long enough to be there.
Dude's voice, mostly. I've never read NME.

The 5/23 Simon Joyner show is at Paper Sun.

LCD SS just announced some US dates for May, surrounding their Sasquatch appearance. It's missing alot of markets, and LCD will be back in the US in July for a couple of other shows, so I guess we can expect another tour that will include a DC show then.
Earth Day Network today announced that Sting, John Legend, The Roots, Bob Weir, Patrick Stump, Mavis Staples, Passion Pit, Q-Tip, Booker T and other artists will perform at The Climate Rally on The National Mall in Washington, DC on Sunday, April 25. Other environmental stewards and notable figures attending include Reverend Jesse Jackson, film director, James Cameron, Olympic gold medalist, Billy Demong, producer, Trudie Styler and author, Margaret Atwood.
Not a bad bunch of performers. Hell, the Roots alone for free shouldn't be missed.

I wonder how much Birchmere would charge for Tears for Fears tickets.
You would think Birchmere's tickets would be less since their margins are naturally inflated by food sales.
