Thank you Seth. I'll try not to mention Joe Perry again until after the first of teh year when he starts his tour! Sincerely guy thank you… (Now if I can get lucky enough to get tickets before they sell out.)
So the presale for Them Crooked Vultures is Thursday through their site and the general onsale is Saturday?
Is there going to be a 9:30 presale or soft sale?
Oh, and thanks Seth! You've been on a roll lately. FreeFest. YYY's. Them Crooked Vultures.

let's not forget ZZ Top, and Hall & Oates.
a great run of quality shows. thank you seth!
(and regarding a TCV presale: i'd love one too but if it hasn't already been organized - which it's sounding like it's not - it's too late in the game to ask for one).
its only 1 opinion but fwiw

i know the lineup is epic . . . but is the music?
My thoughts exactly. 15 times out of 17, "super" groups are miserable failures.

I haven't seen any of the live clips…I generally don't waste my time with camera phone footage of bands. But the brief canned clips of their songs that the band has released sound actually really freaking great.
"With second guitarist and occasional keyboardist Alain Johannes, another veteran of Queens of the Stone Age, augmenting the star trio, the heart of the
sound owed a lot to that band's brand of hypnotic but intense stoner rock, as well as to the more spacey and bluesy sounds of Homme's earlier group, Kyuss."
OK. Sold.

PS, there's now a separate TCV [Them Crooked Vultures] thread – hit that for commentary and discussion!

a boardie planning to see Alice in Chains should never be allowed to form or voice their opinions.

Hey! What's wrong with wanted to hear (most) of the original lineup playing those songs live? Cantrell wrote 90% of the good stuff you know! That and tickets were cheap!!
