The Sadies, instead of the Constantines, are the token Canadian band opening the Tragically Hip shows out west. I'd say the East got the short end of the stick on that one.
But tomorrow's show is a definite?

Nice to see another local show for Exit Clov. I'll probably stay for the show since I'll be at Jammin' Java for Glen Phillips, who is performing at 7 pm on 3/3.
EC may drop off this show, as well as some other shows around that time. Still up in the air though. Family issues.

It's been known to happen. :)
Did I ever tell y'all about the story of the girl with blue hair who gave me Pixies tickets in London? Sure I did. Did I mention the opening acts were Pere Ubu and Miracle Legion?

For those who missed it in the "hey Seth" thread:

Air 5/9
I like both the Sadies and The Constantines but am happier that they Constantines are playing - I think they are fantastic……I have no idea what the Tragically Hip sound like however….

I've seen both the Sadies and the Constantines, and the Sadies are definitely more my bag.

Don't care much for the Hip. Have a solo album by Downie which is ok.

I'd love to see a DC Sadies show. They always seem to skip DC when touring.
miracle legion!

good grief. there's a band i haven't thought about in a while.

except for when i watch my pete and pete DVD's

Don't be so sure. I saw the Constantines several times last year when they were opening for the Weakerthans. Their live show is much better than the CD might imply.

Where we're really getting short changed is the fact that the Constantines/Sadies are opening for the Hip instead of the other way around. It's time for Das Hip to call it a day. The new CD is simply awful. It's hard to believe this is the same band that wrote Day For Night.
i cant BELIEVE you!!!

Pearl Jam's new CD was awful too! (sorry, kosmo!) but when you go see em live, you go for the whole catalog, and i just dont think they've lost a step in their live show.

As long as they dont go "World Container" heavy on the setlist, we'll be right as rain.

and dont pretend like you arent going or something…
