Just Announced

IMO most rappers have no business performing songs in their entirety unless they're some kind of masterpieces or the songs are filled with bridges, beat changeups, etc. But to answer your question, Ghost does medleys for the most part. I think it works in his favor considering the arsenal of classic material he has to choose from, verses from other wutang songs, etc plus it keeps up the momentum of the show. Go see him if you havent.. a bunch of my friends are wu heads and will be there so im still considering it. Hopefully Sonar's new sound system is hittin because I saw Blowfly there earlier this summer and it was one of the worst sounding shows in recent memory.
What color visor will you be wearing?

Will the visor be askew, backwards, upside-down…or all three?
Yankees fan. Shock!

I havent seen a hip-hop show there yet (going to see LB in October though). But the sound system in the main room is a billion times better than last year. and i believe they are upgrading it even more in the coming weeks, so it should be decent to good.

Yeah, I was afraid of that. Not a big fan of the medleys. Or live hip hop in general, unless it's The Roots or Outkast.
Common took the medley approach when I saw him. I wasn't too happy when he didn't play "I Used to Love H.E.R." in its entirety.
Unfortunately, I am afraid I won't be able to make it to this show. In case it hasn't been announced yet.

Hmmm, not sure if this was in the works before, but i was trying to get these guys on the 18th and they couldn't do that date. Assuming they are playing the main stage, they'll make a lot more money. Oh well, sucks for me…

Actually, they went on sale early Friday evening. Get them soon, if you plan on going. It's gonna sellout fast once people find out.

thanks for the heads up, just bought mine …
I'm still trying to decide between DC or Raleigh for DCFC. Has anyone ever been to Disco Rodeo? I heard the venue sucks.

disco rodeo (formerly the ritz) is the worst venue/worst sounding venue i've ever been to.

if you _HAVE_ to go to dcfc, just hit up dc.
that being said, death cab for cutie sucks. i completely regret the time that i wasted attending one of their shows (for someone) back in 2002. they played a show 5 minutes from my house back in 2001 that i was originally supposed to go to, but i fell asleep and missed it. if i had attended that show, i wouldn't have wasted my time driving down to chapel hill in 2002.

i swear they were almost as boring as sigur ros.
