Hmmmmm…. I absolutely love 'April' as well as much of the Sun Kil Moon and Red House Painters discography, but the idea of a Kozelek solo show (at the Hotel, with no seating) sounds highly dangerous for terminal boredom.

I'll probably hold out for a full SKM band show, even if it never comes to pass.

I might be jumping to conclusions by saying that; the description I read essentially said that she's a French pop singer who has a hit song dedicated to making fun of some French rapper's supposed shortcomings (emphasis on "short").

and…she's nothing like lily allen. she's an electronic artist with djs and whatnot…. i love lily allen, but yelle is about 834798x dancier. also, it's all in french.

She is pretty entertaining live. Shes worth seeing at least once. Im not sure I'd see her again - found her a bit boring after awhile and the songs blended together. But maybe its gotten better - i saw her back in Feb/March or so.

i am very excited for this show. i caught tim barry with william elliot whitmore last fall, and was impressed. i've been listening to chuck ragan a lot lately, too. should be a great show.
