Just Announced

I mean WTF is "they deserve better" supposed to mean? the Velvet Underground played most of their shows before a handful of people….

As a huge fan- and Luna was the number one reunion I wanted to see- I'm real happy I will have another chance to see them…
Birchmere food is overpriced and mediocre
Sit down shows blow
Early door time sucks
First come first served seating sucks

Agreed.  It's all Seth's fault.  He's got us spoiled rotten.
although luna is kind of a sit down band…and I never get the food at Birchmere

I just don't like having to get there really early to get a good seat
We kinda lucked out at the Holy holy show…
but way in the back on stg left or right would suck IMO
I think the sound is pretty good there

well he has booked the Lincoln with bands that really shouldn't be seated
but he really has us spoiled rotten

I keep seening all those cranes on the waterfront and hoping that will be a destination for good music in the future

I really think the Birchmere is a very good break…it could have very easily been no DC show…..a lot of people who went to the reunion shows aren't going to go back… Seth and IMP bookers  knew this which is why the 930 was never an option

ok seeing how I have been to one show the past 10 years I guess this is all true…

I'm just happy they got booked  in DC…

I just have a sneaking feelin' that Space Jam hasn't exactly been frequenting Luna shows the past 15 years… but maybe he will correct me and if so I will apologize… and I really dislike someone who hasn't supported a band in years saying "they deserve better"… it really fuckin' rankles me..

there is a reason they are playing the birchmere.. and a reason they broke up… anybody who watches the Luna DVD movie Tell me do you miss me knows the fuckin' score here.k..

Last thing this town needs is yet ANOTHER music venue.. for pete's sake do people not understand that all these venues competing for talent are resulting in rapidly increasing ticket prices??? or they simply have cover bands playing…

well it's an IMP venue and the solution to booking bands at Echo or DAR is my understanding

well I'm looking at it from the standpoint that DC might not have gotten a show at all…. and that I've been itchin' to see them again…and they will probably soon be done for good….cause the money just isn't there for them…

What do I care if the food is not good?? I don't fuckin' eat at shows anyways.. I drink beer.. they have pitchers .. i like that….

anyways i hate the fuckin' food at the 930.who cares… I don't go to rock shows to eat food. My cardinal rules are I don't eat at shows or parties..

I drove to Philly to see them last year… getting there early to see them a few miles from my home is a minor inconvenience…and avoiding DC and their shitty parking situation is a good thing

As a middle aged guy, I never thought I'd say this, but they start their shows too early.

7:30 start time means doors at  6, which means you practically are forced to eat there if you want to eat any dinner.

And my wife doesn't get home from work until 7:30 or 8, so I can't make those early shows!

yes, they start their shows too early…  when i went to holy holy we were the last people there but everyone there was having a good time eating and drinking…  in other worlds we were the outliers

its not a rock and roll club.. its a folk club.. totally different.. more like a jazz supper club thing.. if its not your speed that is fine… different strokes for different folks

I just don't care at all about any of it.. they're putting on a show by Luna and that's what I care about…I don't expect every venue to do everything like I want.. the other night3q I went to see Bunny Wailer and between the opening act and Bunny about two hours of tedium elapsed…

I can tell you one thing: every time I have avoided one of my favorite bands over my not liking the venue I have regretted it in the end.. I'm not going to see a venue.. I'm going to see a rock band….I'm not going there to eat great chicken fingers.. WTF?

the main problem with the Birchmere for me is I hate the no standing rule for a rock show.. hate it hate it.. but for Holy Holy I didn't mind so maybe it won't be so bad… I'm done with this .. i've bored even myself
