Wow……!!! are great…….I love their new album…..
Thought I'd post this here although it's not a show but is music-related:

MAYOR OF THE SUNSET STRIP (opening this weekend)
from George Hickenlooper (director of the amazing "Apocalypse Now" documentary, "Hearts of Darkness"), about legendary KROQ DJ Rodney Bingenheimer. Bingenheimer was something of a super-groupie in late 60's LA - watching old video footage of some of the biggest bands of the era (The Byrds, Sonny & Cher, The Monkees, etc.) is like playing "Where's Waldo" with Rodney - he shows up in every one of them. The doc features interviews with David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Cher, Brian Wilson, Kim Fowley, Joan Jett and many more, all of whom Bingenheimer befriended over the years. It's lots of fun and shouldn't be missed. Check out the website:

Dandy, do we know if that's opening in DC?

I saw a preview of this last weekend. I loved it and if you're familiar with the LA scene it's a must see. Of course I'm very So Cal biased so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but the music is fantastic.

I think we talked about it when we talking about "Bands Reunited" because Chris Carter of Dramarama produced the movie.

But even if you don't know who Rodney is (shame on you), the sound track is great, covers many years, and is laiden with LA and Brit-pop tracks.

Hey, do any of you ever see the guy I call "the mayor of adams morgan" strolling around 18th street? He often wears a royal blue suit and walks with a little limp. He's got dark dark hair and kind of beady eyes with an intense look…probably between 30 and 40…kinda weird, on the surface…

Anyone know his deal?
There are two mayors. One works at the gas station on the corner in A-M.
