they also make great music, if you're into incest and shit.
I had that Blood Songs album a while ago.

Never paid much attention to the lyrics the few times I heard it.
More NYC for walkonby. :)

I'd be at this if it wasn't for the Feelies show:

Emeralds CD Release Party: March 14 at Glasslands in Brooklyn with Thurston Moore/Carlos Giffoni,Eric Copeland,Uneven Universe,Telecult Powers and Sam Goldberg

will more tickets be released when Animal Collective is announced to the general public, or is that it?
Afraid that's it.

So fucking perplexing.

Even Pogues on St. Patrick's day took weeks to sell out on soft sale.

And Nick Cave took over a week, too.

AC has a hot new album, a fanbase of college students w/o "adult" commitments and tix were $25. I'm not the least bit shocked that it sold out so fast.
For those into '80s comebacks:

Cabaret Voltaire are doing 2 shows in the UK. One in London and the other in their home of Sheffield. Maybe later shows but I suspect they want to see how things take off before any other commitments.

Also, The Durutti Column have something up their sleeve. I can't remember exactly what shows I heard scheduled but it's a bit more firm than the Cabaret Voltaire gigs.
