Man, I want to see the Descendents
So out of curiosity does anyone know how the General Admission will work at Lincoln for the Pumpkins show considering it's a seated venue? Is it just a free for all for seats? Do they remove the seats and make it standing room only? Do the VIPs get to enter the venue first?

VIPs get in first, then free for all for seats.

The idea that the Lincoln Theatre would/could remove the seats on a show by show basis is pretty LOL-worthy.

Really, I don't think it's that big of a deal, not really sure how they are mounted down

Biggest problem is if they had a GA pit in front, the people in the seats couldn't see

But Really think Seth should consider if there was a way to work with the venue to see if the seats could be removed reasonably

If the seats were installed as row's it probably wouldn't be that big of a deal, all depends on what would be on the floor after the removal (bolts sticking up)
That show, sounds difficult.

see this is what I was thinking… I've seen venues (and movie theatres) with this set up and the entire row just comes out.

I've only been to the Lincoln once though, and if I remember correctly the angle of the floor is fairly steep for a standing room event

That Punk Rock Bowling Festival sounds awesome! Of course, I'm mostly interested in the bowling.

So if this is on PBS, why does that clip keep featuring Bob Boilen of NPR?

I mean, I'm down with public broadcasting so lump it all together and make some noise. I'm just confused what his involvement is. Maybe I'll go ask him.

Bob Boilen, host of NPR?s All Songs Considered, was a member of Tiny Desk Unit, the first and last band to play at 9:30?s old venue on F Street NW, before it closed. In ?Live at 9:30,? he leads an interview segment called ?Boilen Points,? featuring casual conversations with the artists.
