indeed it is.  the boys put on a big production so i'd expect it to not be a cheap show to put on, but $75 is at the upper end of what i'd expect.  shows in NYC are $58 + fees, but it's in a GA venue.  i guess $17 buys you a seat.

Yes, there are some gimmick bands and hipster central - but there are some really great bands as well…last year had Celebration, Beach House, Matmos, Thank You, Negativland presentation, Oxes, Double Dagger, Dan Deacon and many more…hardly "gimmick" bands.

I saw Celebration open for Smashing Pumpkins in Asheville 2 years ago.  IMHO they sucked.  Just sayin'.
