Maybe it wasn't selling enough tickets at Birchmere?

uff i hope growing plays at velvet.
Can't say I blame them for taking the offer; they will be playing to full rooms that are bigger than they probably ever thought they'd play.
Still, weak.

it's weird that Growing are opening for Hot Chip.
do they really want to alienate 1200 people???

They'll be drowned out by the 16 year-olds and fratboys talking over them. :(
that is absolutely strange. nobody's going to pay attention to growing. the audience might actually get downright hostile, though i myself wouldn't be afraid of a bunch of hot chip fans. should be interesting to see just to witness the audience reaction.
for azaghal:
sunday 11/9 @ velvet: plastic crimewave sound w/ djin (of yahowa 13!), mondo drag
kohoutek will probably be on this bill.

Dam…Already bought a Magnetic Fields ticket.
How late do Lisner shows typically go? Could both be doable?
That last BC show was great.

Is 8:00 the doors or showtime for the Magnetic Fields? I can't see it being doable if it's doortime especially if they have an opener and if they have a brief intermission in the middle of their set like with last winter's shows.
yeah, last winter's show ended around 10:30-45
and that's with one opener with a 20 minute set!
