Yes it is, especially being at the Black Cat. I had to miss his solo show a few years back, so this should be great. That setlist was heavy on rare cuts and covers.

Did a recording of it ever circulate? I never found one.

It was on browntracker at one point, and not the DVD version that was on there forever. I downloaded it…it's not a lossless version, but I can shoot it over to you if you want.

Gene did play a solo acoustic show at the state theatre in march of '07 as well as a few other cities in which he played mostly Ween songs, covers and rarities like the "Greg the Bunny" theme that he wrote for the show but wasn't used.

Also, Joe Russo has been heavily rumored to be Claude's replacement for a while; this announcement does give that rumor a little more legitimacy.

You think brand new material? I'd assumed this would be like any other Ween show, just without Deaner and Claude, and probably playing rarer cuts.
