Just Announced

For slackers like me who didn't get tickets last week:

Tickets for the first Van Halen tour in more than 22 years with David Lee Roth as lead vocalist went on sale this weekend and resulted in immediate sell outs in multiple markets around the country.

An additional stop was also scheduled for Washington, DCâ??s Verizon Center (11/1), extending Van Halenâ??s historic trek to 29 dates in all. Tickets for the Washington, DC date will go on sale this Friday, August 24th.
So what you've succeeded in doing is posting old info regarding a show that's already completely sold out which you knew about. Congrats.

Check the itinerary - they're not doing any back to back shows. There's a 10-day gap between New Jerus & N.Y., but them going up there & coming back to D.C.???? Doubt it. That date's probably the only one we're getting here. They're GOING to multiple dates in NYC. That's a given. I'll be shocked if they do back to backs, but the Knicks/MSG will dictate that if anything. Maybe another date in N.J./America's Trash Can. You have two options as I see it:
1) Trek up to NYC/N.J.
2) Come out your ass for that eBay money & see 'em here.

Good luck. I might be wrong & will easily admit if I am.

But I'm usually not.

Any idea on ticket prices for this one?
I'll go if it's under 30.

For The Boss??? Don't be silly.

$55.00 - $85.00

By non-Rhett standards, that's quite affordable for an act of The Boss' stature.

Not 100% on that range, but it's pretty close . . .

I'm quite sure Meadowlands/MSG will be slightly more . . .

For those of you that can't make it out, there's probably gonna be a stadium trek in the spring/summer. You heard it here first.

have done it in the past, worked out great. i don't post my address publicly, i chose whom to invite and contact them off-list. i recognize my naivety, but i doubt anyone would trek all the way out here for a boss show, take me up on my offer of hospitality, and be a douche once they got here. besides, i have the right mints in case they do :) </inside joke>

but thanks for the warning, walkie. might think twice before inviting you
i am just as nice a host as an guest of someone's invitation. only my words fool the aspect ratio of who i attempt to be. cordial, polite, comical, and only slightly insane on the inside at the juncture of public affairs.

Don't be surprised to see him add Nov. 12th at Verizon.
i was just thinking about that: this is a relatively sparse tour schedule for one of the hardest working bands in R'n'R today - adding more dates seems almost certain, IMO. i wonder if he'll try selling out meadowlands six nights in a row again… over half the dates on the schedule are ripe for additional shows.

This is just the first leg of a pretty extensive tour. As he has done in the past, he is probably doing a quick run through of the major cities and will prob. be back after the new year (Spring/Summer) for a more extensive leg of the tour including repeats at the bigger cities and east coast.

Did they sell out the Balck Cat in June?
Disco Biscuits 10/24 at warner theater

Did the club staff finally get fed up with their drugged up, disrespectful crowd?

yup, the room was packed all the way back, but i believe that the last tickets were sold the day of the show, maybe the day before. so they barely sold out. they had some buzz around them at the time, not certain that they still have enough left over to fill the 930.

It's an early show to boot, good luck with that.

if that were a reason for a band not to play the club, there would be a lot more holes in our schedule.

That was quick…

I might go see them because they're all so flippin' hot.

"all"? the blonde naughty librarian has it going on, but the other two… meh. then again they can sing well, and talent is indeed attractive. the attitudes work too, but not sure it's enough to push all of them into the "so flippin' hot" category.

EDIT: by "blonde naughty librarian", i didn't the one with the glasses, i meant the blond in the center of the picture that DFA1979 posted below… my bad.

I beg to differ:

I would make outs with all of them. All the time.
