I had an artist alert that New Order was playing the Black Cat, which I foolishly posted.  It was actually for a Duran-Duran/New Order Dance party.  I was very excited for about 3 minutes last night and jumped the gun.

^Oh El Tee,

Ha! Thanks. I saw this too. Good deal…wondered what this may infer for them making the LS list of events…I don't think it reflects on them. They have new marketing team, and this show wasn't announced until three weeks ago, and it's at B'more Soundstage. I never really knew of or paid attention to that venue. Reviewing their regular shows and touring artists, Toad doesn't really seem to fit there, but cool they are mixing it up. Happy for those in Baltimore, but they do much better at RHL, 930, Birchmere (although I dislike going there for them), where the band (or Glen solo) sell out repeatedly. I won't be going this time, just not in the mood for mid-week rush hour travel. Also, not so sure about the venue. Toad has a new album out late summer, so maybe they'll come back to the club in the fall.
Baltimore SoundStage is a solid venue– good sound, good layout.  It's in the same "Power Plant Live" area as Rams Head Live, and the SoundStage will even give you a discount on your parking (info on that here).
