Just Announced

KT Tunstall is playing the Town Hall (NYC) on 5/28 & 5/29, no dates closer to DC.

well, they're almost certainly going to be the first two acts, so you could always leave before the b-52's hit (although i'd recommend sticking around for them, but that's just me).

Sooooo…

No Spoon headlining DC?
I did think Constitution Hall sounded kinda crazy.
DJ Q-BERT with special guest Roc Raida (of the x-ecutioners)
6/19 - Ottobar
Was an email blast sent out yesterday?

I didn't get one this week or last week.
azaghal - check your spam filters, 'cause e-mail blasts were definitely sent out. got one 13 hours ago ("Robert Plant and Alison Krauss at Merriweather!") and on Feb 27 ("I.M.P. Shows Galore!"). no presales mentioned. PM me with you e-mail if you'd like them forwarded to you.

if your spam filters are set to exclude exclamation points, you'd be missing both the blasts and the love letters bull930 has been sending you :p
Hmm…nothing in the spam folder either.

Could yahoo be intercepting/deleting them before they get to me? And if that's the case, why has it only started last week?

Strange…
I got yesterday's in my yahoo account just fine.
who uses yahoo anymore?? get gmail :)

I have gmail but don't check it as frequently.

Maybe I should just sign my gmail up too.

 Has anyone seen him live? How much VU material does he play?

WOW, that's an interesting pairing. Does that mean they're both headlining or Melt-Banana is backing him up? I really dig Melt-Banana's Bambi album and listen to it constantly. But what are they gonna do with ol' Cranky Lou?

And are the National opening? Didn't they just play a two-night headling run?

Is this a 9:30 show? I haven't received the email yet either.
Personally, I would pass on the National, but seeing Lou play with Melt Banana would be awesome.

Based on recent years' setlists, It's mostly solo stuff with a smattering of VU tunes. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

No, no, no, no, no… my apologies, I see how this could confuse many.

The National is a venue in Richmond. The band has nothing to do with this show. As for Melt Banana, I have no idea if they're Lou's backup backup band, but their listed on in the ticketmaster listing for the show the next night in North Carolina. I'd assume they're an opener.

Sorry everyone. :(
I saw him at Bohagers in 1998 and he was amazing. Played "Pale Blue Eyes" and "I'll Be Your Mirror". That was enough for me.

He could come on stage, play Heroin and Pale Blue Eyes, walk off, and I'd list it in my top 10 shows of all-time.
Sorry nothin'. That just sweetens the pot, IMO.
