Acoustic or electric? Any idea if she's doing new material or mostly greatest hits on this tour?

Rumor is that it's a DJ set.

There's a rumor that she's throwing in a sweet cover every once in a while.  I'm hoping for either "Michele's Vegetable Garden" or "Just Say No"

post your own cover of one of 2 HGM new songs and you go for free

pretty cool… maybe… I'll try.

edit: I won't try, but what a really cool concept. I fell into a nearly one hour rabbit hole of watching these covers. So much talent out there!

Tears of Silver
Baltimore, Secret Location

featuring Ken Stringfellow and others.

I'm coming to Baltimore Sept. 12 with Tears of Silver – a 'supergroup' / rolling thunder review / mashup of myself, Mercury Rev, and Midlake. The evening's entertainment will be me doing all that I do – solo, Posies, Big Star and more – and all Mercury Rev does (their first tour in a decade in the US) and Jesse's contributions to Midlake, and his own music. Yep. It's like getting … 7? 8? bands in one. We have some things we've worked up together too… plus, Anna from Thrushes is jumping up and lending her skills to the evening as well. HUGE. It's the greatest super group since Chequered Past! And it's only happening once.

Like the Posies tour, this is a secret show in a non-club environment… all ages, BYOB, and the space is lovely. But you have to buy a ticket to find out where it is… we won't do sales at the door… this show is going to sell out in advance! We have general admission tix, and VIP tickets where you can sit down with the band for dinner before the show. And bring your Visa card as I'll be selling rare vinyls and other memorabilia after the gig!

Alone and Together @ 6th and I on 12/14

Alone & Together is a series wherein some of your favorite singer/songwriters/musicians get together and cover one another in addition to playing their own songs, choice covers, and surprise jams. It’s a freewheeling and frequently magical environment. Featuring: Elvis Perkins, Joe Russo, Eric D. Johnson (Fruit Bats), Sam Cohen and Josh Kaufman.
