To tie in with forthcoming 2008 releases on DVD of the classic 'LIVE AFTER DEATH' and 'MAIDEN ENGLAND' concert videos (more details coming soon) this tour, aptly entitled 'SOMEWHERE BACK IN TIME', will revisit the band's history by focusing almost entirely on the 80's in both choice of songs played and the stage set, which will be based around the legendary Egyptian Production of the 1984-85 'Powerslave Tour'. This will arguably be the most elaborate and spectacular show the band have ever presented, and will include some key elements of their Somewhere In Time tour of 1986/7, such as the Cyborg Eddie.
best news of the month! my main issue with recent maiden shows is not enough deep cuts from the '80s.

Sweet info indeed <img src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b4/Iron_Maiden_Killers.jpg" alt=" - " />
Drove to Camden to see them last year. Good show. But you are right. They played their entire new album in its entirety, then played a few 80's songs. I would love to see Maiden get back to the songs that made them who they are.

Also, how in the hell am I only now noticing that Rogue Wave are opening for Feist?
It appears from a source I have at Sonar that 50 Cent is coming in the next few months. It's getting announced tomorrow.

I don't care, but maybe someone here will.

Anyone remember the good old days where none of us had "sources" or secret insider information and all we did was talk about Brit-pop?

I miss Markie….
I still almost never chime into this board unless the topic is Britpop.

Dammit! You used to talk about Britpop all the time?!?! I would have LOVED to have posted here THEN. Seriously. I know more about Britpop than any of you. It would be my "Jeopardy category to save the world."

It's ironic. I just got done reading John Harris's "The Last Party."

I could talk about Britpop (various definitions) for days….
