Choke is the only book of his I've read. What a waste of trees. Won't be reading anything else of his.

Kindle?

Isn't every book a waste of trees?

Trees are a renewable resource.  Books provide more  jobs and you can give them to friends or sell them when you are done with them.  Plus if you buy them from the local book store you are creating jobs in the community.

As for "Choke" it is a great book.  James Ford once again he has the worst taste in everything.
Nah, I agree with Ford here. Choke and Fight Club, as with most of Palahniuk's books, are pseudo-BRO!-intellectual horseshit for guys who think The Matrix like really makes you think about like life man and how you gotta like own your possessions not let them own you.

In other words, the perfectly appropriate media with which Atomicfront would really connect.

I read a ton of stuff. And this is hardly Bro material.  You are a dunce.  As for books I was told that 90 percent of guys on their online dating site profiles have "Davinci Code' as the last book they read and enjoyed.  Perhaps that is more Relaxers and James Ford's speed.

Chuck Palahniuk?s Adult Bedtime Stories

Friday, October 11, 7 p.m.
Central Library, Main Hall

Bestselling author Chuck Palahniuk talks about his new book, Doomed, the sequel in the Damned trilogy ? plus other entertainments.
Baltimore is the ONLY East Coast stop for Palahniuk's Doomed tour.

Doors will open for reserved seating at 6 p.m.
Some free seating will be available at the rear of the main hall and in Wheeler Auditorium.

The Ivy Bookshop will have pre-signed copies of Doomed and other Chuck Palahniuk titles for sale at the event.
There will be no signing following the program.

PLEASE PRINT OUT YOUR RECEIPT AND BRING IT WITH YOU TO THE EVENT.
$25 bucks gets you entry and a signed copy of the book.  I went to the 2008 Snuff tour (got the signed book and a signed stuffed dog he threw out to the crowd) and had a blast.  Definitely recommended if you are a fan.  Also, this to Neutral Milk Hotel/Elf Power will be a very interesting double header.

Awesome. Missed when he came through for Snuff. My favorite book of his is Rant. Time travel, bro. Haven't read his last few though… Maybe I'll dl them on my phone.

Really enjoyed Damned, thought it was a good commentary on organized religion.  Nothing is sacred with him.  (Reminds me of Tarantino in that sense).  Like some his earlier works as well, including Choke.  Do admit I dropped him for a while though, after reading the gut sucking pool story in Haunted.
I believe that act was called "Pearl Diving" and then it went horribly awry. My favorite story from Haunted was the dudes dressing up as women and getting the shit kicked out of them in bars. Haunted was supposed to be turned into a mini series for HBO, would have loved to see that come to fruition.

Snuff was the last book of his I read, it just seemed like he was going for gross out factors. Rant and Choke are my favorites. Still think Choke is a hilarious book. Which it translated well to the movie.
