ah. thanks.
I can't believe you've all forgiven them for that 'Popular' song. Death to Nada Surf!!

And yes, it's definitely legit.
From Carl Craig's booking agent's site:
09.26: CARL CRAIG (DJ)/ DEMON DAYS @ The Gallery, Silver Spring, MD
If that were the only song I'd ever heard by them, I'd have to agree.
But I heard their last three albums before I ever heard "Popular", so I must point out that you're way off target based on those three albums.

But that booking is as random as it gets.

It's no '07 (but arguably no other year in this decade is as good as '07) but I don't know about dark and dreadful.
I've found plenty to get excited about music-wise this year.

The Pietasters/Toasters 10/31 930
So much for that Man Man show I was hoping for. :(
And:
Sisters of Mercy 11/5 930
Grace Potter and the Nocturnals 12/6 930
With the exception of Nada Surf, December is looking dismal so far.

Anyone been to this Gallery in Silver Spring? How big is it, etc…
Carl Craig's PA at Movement this year was a definite highlight and he has released some amazing tracks over the years. His DJ trick many years ago was spinning a record upside down by using a thread spindle and flipping over the needle…
