Roger Waters rescheduled.
Still in the round.
Still >$300

some ok seats in the $150 range(+30 in fees), but don't think I should miss this tour this time around

can only imagine scalping is going to be crazy once shows start again
got a $94 'credit' for my Avett/Clem Birchmere show…but if I use it for RW…all it covers is the seat geek fees

With that credit, maybe you won't be broke this month!

awwwww shit!
Matchbox 20 & The Wallflowers
The Lube
7/28
I saw Parquet Courts announced a few dates in MA, the Burgh and Cleveland for late May

All I'm saying is that by then I'll be fully vaxxed and on the attack - that would be a killer show at the Club
Yes with Public Practice opening…like was originally scheduled last year

not really how that works…and still broke
My two, observations about the Roger Waters show.

1.  I have never been a fan of round stage concerts and feel like you don't get a great experience unless you are sitting in perfect sections.

2.  After seeing him twice the last time he came with such a show that had a production of majesty extremes and history and awesomeness to the red line, I don't see how the man can possibly top himself this time in town.

Best thing about Roger Waters' shows… Tickets day of are nearly 50% off.
$150 is a steep price to pay for spectacle and lip synching. Fraid that ship has sailed.

100% agree with this

Now I know Gilmour isn’t going to tour again but in his case I would go see him if he was touring because of his guitar playing…

except he'd probably have play rhythm and have some dude in the back shadows of the stage wailing away on lead.
Also I just find Waters so offputting these days..so sanctimonious

He doesn’t have much of an idea about most of the political causes he champions

As an example a few years ago he went to Argentina and met with some poor people there..now he can’t stop yapping about them..he met them once for an hour and knows nothing about what the issues involved are.. if he can find something to rail against he does it never mind what

I don’t believe this..if he couldn’t play he wouldn’t tour

And he will never tour again so it’s a moot point..
And Gilmour doesn’t “wail” typically

That’s what I like about him.. he is such a tasteful guitar player and just has the most ear pleasing tone

When I was a young kid I disliked Gilmour a lot for continuing to trade on the Pink Floyd name..how dare he when Waters is the genius coming up with all the songs?!? I may not have even realized Gilmour sang almost every song! When I got older I realized Gilmour’s guitar playing and vocals where indistinguishable from what I loved about Floyd

Then I read some books and articles and realized Gilmour was one of the nicest guys in music and Waters a bit of a jerk

A few years ago I decided Gilmour was maybe my favorite guitar player.. right now he is #1 and Knopfler #2

I get that Waters came up with the concepts

Also, he turned his last tour into a movie, which was just fine with me, best sight lines ever.

My father in law prefers streaming music from the free version of Pandora because it's better than a concert…. and cheaper.
Watching videos is not the same thing as a live concert

Sometimes I think people kid themselves about this cause they get old and scared to go out and deal with people and don’t want to pay..
Meh. I passed up on the tour, so when the movie came to the theaters, I figured it was better than nothing.
Totally

I probably would enjoy live DVDs more if it was more social..watching them by myself doesn’t cut it
