Just Announced

Who exactly is paying 65 bucks for Peter Yarrow? Who?
Actually, I just found out that this is a benefit for schools…what schools, I'm not sure. But I can assure you that Yarrow is not pocketing money from it.

So, does he play a lot of DBT stuff at a solo show? Or mostly his own stuff?
I would have the same question.

awesome … expect it to sell out?
My wife was asking me "Do we need to get tickets in advance, or just see how we feel and make a decision that day?"

I really don't know. He's playing:

Charlottesville Sunday
Birchmere Monday
Sonar Tuesday
Richmond Wednesday

Given the geographic closeness of those places, my guess is that they'd split the demographic and sell well but not out. But I have no idea, really.

We usually make it a point to eat elsewhere before going to the Birchmere. :)

The Tuesday Baltimore show is at Ottobar, not Sonar.

My understanding is that he tends to play both solo and DBT material.

Well, this really sucks. I just found out something interesting.

Glen Hansard is opening for Damien Rice.

Had I known that, I would have jumped for tickets as soon as they went on sale. As it was, I briefly thought about going, then shrugged when I found out it sold out. What the hell am I going to do now? The few tickets on eBay are going for outrageous prices.
Its the Swell Season opening, but I am sure that Glen will throw in a Frames song or two.

F'n Vegas trip that made me miss that Iota, Philly and KC show! All for the damn Pogues too!

Prices will come down, I'm sure, on Craig's list or Ebay in a couple weeks.

I wouldn't hold my breath, The Swell Season is a totally different project.
he did at the iota/tin angel/kc shows.
From what I've read, he's briefly resurrecting adam's house cat which was the band he had before drive by truckers. A lot of their material later became dbt songs

He threw in more than one or two Frames songs at the IOTA. I'd say they made up nearly half the set. Glen also played "Leave" off The Swell Season when I saw The Frames last fall, so it's not quite as separate a project as you might think, froggylizzard. The song "Falling Slowly" is on both The Swell Season and the new Frames album, for example.
So are they actually an opener or is that a typo? And who's Tada Burke?
