And this has to be a mistake:
Crystal Castles costs…wait for it…$35!

$35 for a blogtastic band who (by most accounts I've read/heard) are awful live and are a group of horrible people to work/interact with.
^ $25 at Sonar Baltimore.
That's still about 5x more than what they should be making in total on a given night.

Excuse me while I go grab their new album from a torrent site so I can trash it with some merit.

Edit:So this sounds like Shiny Toy Guns with bits of 8-bit synth thrown in here and there.

I think the whole line-up is what's worth 35$, not just Crystal Castles. Rusko? Sinden? Destructo? Yes, please. But most people don't know anyone on that line-up except Crystal Castles.

more coolness :)

less coolness… he's on at 1:30, and it's the DB's after-party:

Noetic Productions presents UK Psy-Dub DJ and Producer Ott at Heaven and Hell on April 20. This very special event will follow The Disco Biscuits at 9:30 Club. Philly based ambient duo Beam & Deem, Philly based disco house DJ Crouse, and New York City based breakbeat DJ Morale will open the night.

The April 20th event will be a multi-sensory experience that will include art and fashion in addition to the musical acts. There will be clothing and jewelry design by B. Skribles Designs and Angela Monaco. Artist Alida Frey will have art on display and will create a live painting that will be auctioned off at the end of the night.

Tickets are $12 presale, available at inticketing.com, and will be $15 at the door. Doors will open at 10:30 p.m. and openers will start at 11:00 p.m. Ott?s set will begin at 1:30, after The Disco Biscuits? show has ended. Admission is 21 and up.

Creed has announced "The 20-10 Tour," meant to stand up against rising concert costs with tickets specially priced at $20 and $10.

The first 2,010 reserved seats are $20 all-in, meaning fans pay a flat rate with no added service charges. The remaining seats will be priced at either $20 or $10, plus fees. "The 20-10 Tour" kicks off on July 28th in Washington D.C. at Jiffy Lube Live, and continues through September 4th.

Im sure its to stand up to rising concert cost, and not to stand up to pathetic Creed concert attendance last year.
i would have to be anally raped to see creed . . . so i guess if i had to i would be glad it is at the lube.
Bombay, has to be someone else…they haven't sold out Iota in years.  Even on weekend nights.  And people are missing out; those shows are STOOPID fun!

-EDIT- Didn't see all the discussion on this.  I LOVE the idea of the anniversary party!!

They probably could've booked those three at the U St. Music Hall for $10, $15 max.
