If you think that your flatulent emissions are brilliant, then you're even more anally inclined than I thought. And I already suspected you were extremely anal. Like "Buttman Goes to Greece VII" anal.

$20-?
She has like a week open before that, so I bet she'll add a DC show. Her tour might have more breaks and weird gaps that I've ever seen, so she may be adding a ton more shows it appears.

i would be there, but ill be at white lies that night. seems everyone is playing on the 27th in nyc. tix were more than i thought they'd be, so im glad i chose the cheaper option, besides the fact next time white lies hits nyc it'll be at a bigger club since theyre at the top of the charts in the UK.

I couldn't be more pleased that Goblin Cock are coming 'round to our parts again. I mean, LOOK AT THAT COVER. It could be an Okkervil River side project, or an Ani DiFranco goof, and I'd still be firm on board.
Heh heh, I'm "firm on board"
Based on your suggestion, I checked out the new Goblin Cock record and have to say it is great. Good sludgy 70's-ish metal.
I believe I will also be making a firm commitment for the DC9 show.

white lies are also playing the 26th, i doubt you'll have a problem trading your friday ticket for a thursday one (or just selling your friday). booka haven't toured since… uh… i dunno. WL will be back.

I'll be forced to choose between Primal Scream in DC or Booka Shade in NYC if Booka don't have a DC date. :(

Epstein, you have some strong competition.
And how are there essentially two experimental music festivals in DC (a town that as a whole, couldn't care less about most of this music) on the same night?

well that is true - but at this price id rather see White Lies for half the cost of that. Plus friends are going that night. Regardless I love the band, and Im seeing both nights plus in DC. Booka Shade at Lolla was awesome, but I also cant stand Irving Plaza. Either way its a win/win for me :)

any parrotheads on the bboard?
Jimmy Buffet & the Coral Reefer Band
9/03 & 9/05
Nissan Pavilion, Bristow, VA
kinda weird that they left an empty date between the two shows - maybe they'll announce a third show after the first two sell out.

No. As a parrothead in a previous life, I recall they always do a Thursday/Saturday thing. And one of his band members plays some local club on Friday night and sometimes Jimmy makes a surprise appearance at that…
