it also sold out at the Ottobar last time, so maybe try and get tickets in advance. Sonars box office is open late i think and theres no service charge.

Also at Ramshead in Annapolis:

Jeff Daniels
Monday October 10, 2005
7:30 p.m.
$25

"For 30 years I've been playing, but it was always just a hobby – something I did to relax," says Daniels. "I've written over 250 songs. They are my diary," he says.
"And that diary has very funny entries, and some surprisingly tender ones as well," says the CD's producer, Steve Curran.
The CD kicks off with "If William Shatner Can, I Can Too," which pokes fun at celebrities who try to be musicians. Daniels also describes the joy of being killed by Clint Eastwood in "The Dirty Harry Blues," and bares his heart in "Kathy," painting a picture of the first date he had with his future wife. Daniels' new song, "Fashionably Late," written on behalf of men everywhere, tells the story of waiting for a date to come downstairs. He also includes an updated version of his lament for his favorite baseball team, "The Lifelong Tiger Fan Blues," and "Blue Valiant," a song about everyone's first car.

If I'm not mistaken, it's the building that until a year or so ago was called Baltimore Arena.

>>For New York I assume……
From a mailing list I'm on:

*A new fall US festival is taking shape that will happen at 2 sites in NYC on October 1 & 2 - "Across The Pond" will feature OASIS, THE PIXIES, GANG OF FOUR, BELLE & SEBASTIAN, NEW YORK DOLLS, THE KILLERS, BECK and many more - hopefully at least a few more acts who are actually from across the pond. The locations are said to be Keyspan Park in Brooklyn and Richman County Bank Ballpark in Staten Island. More details will be announced soon.
Keyspan Park in Coney Island? that place is quite small!!
Forgive me if these have been mentioned already.

At Sonar:

Rollins Spoken Word: Sept. 16
Nashville Pussy: Sept. 21
Clutch: Sept. 23
Gang of Four: Oct 5
Social D: Oct. 29

Ive never been to Sonar, somehow. I'll be there quite a bit in September. Nice place? And how are Gang of Four still around?
