Just Announced

Sword>Gary Numan

I like Tubeway Army and all but The Sword are making the big leap now. They are no longer gonna play the back room of the Black Cat! I heard a new song from them and it is the best production and songwriting they have had yet. Also I saw Karma to Burn a few months ago with a crowd of maybe 10 people and they shredded up a storm!
Gary Numan is doing The Pleasure Principle though. That should be taken note of.
I didn't mean who's better.

I meant who's going to both?

Gary Numan->Sword

The Sword have two openers so it'll be possible to hit both.
Oh I see. Who is the second opener for the Sword?
are The Sword big enough to play the 930?!? Didn't they play the RNR Hotel last time?
Mount Carmal is the 2nd opener.
I'm pretty surprised the Sword is playing the club. Their first album got a fair amount of buzz but it seemed like the second one came and went real quick. I didn't like it at first but I've slowly come to see, via tracks from it popping up in the ol' jogging playlist, that its solid.

Tough to pick between Gary and Sword though. Gary is a show that will likely never happen again, but could be really lame. The Sword will be a guaranteed riffathon but you can probably expect them to come around again in a year.

Or maybe he can stick around the DC area for another week and turn the Greg Dulli show into the Gutter Twins!
