Just Announced

there is no comparison between MPP and The Lube.  MPP is better on every point that i can think of (vibe/aesthetics, access & parking, food and drink choices, lineup, greenery, etc.).  i  understand how folks in NoVa might prefer the Lube out of convenience (mediocrity can be preferable if it's in your backyard), but put the two venues next to each other and the Lube would be mothballed in no time.

I live in Virginia and in no way consider the Lube in my "backyard". I'd MUCH rather go to MPP and have chosen to not go to shows just because they were at the Lube. That place sucks on expert level.

Never forget.

And never again.

My last time going there. I refuse to attend another concert there.

Absolutely correct on every point.
M3 notwithstanding, though, it if ya gotta see Styx, Journey, Kansas, etc etc, though…..  MPP just cannot compare.  I guess Seth "loses" those bidding wars…

Ooops didn't realize this was JA.  Sorry for continuing the tangent.
I agree that MPP is better on every level…lovely place

but taking 495 during the week during rush hour from NOVA is like getting a root canal…
in essence a MPP show almost means having to take the day off to get there….at least from here….

or you can wait til rush hour is over and hope you squeeze in right before the headliner takes the stage..

that is all I was saying..
Well, Hutch, you know, not everyone lives in your neighborhood in a 972 sq ft house with a junkyard masquerading as a lawn, and therefore travel times can greatly differ.

what a shitshow that was…. left my house at 4:30pm, took 4 1/2 hours to get there and in, got to my seat just before Radiohead took the stage at about 9….. then another 4 1/2 hours to get home after the gig, got home at 3:30am….. that's a long day for just a couple hours of music….

Nope not a Ravens fan. I'm still correct, though. He's been injury riddled at least the last two years going on three. Bitter Stiller fan much?
