Tommy Ramone played Jammin Java back in 2007.

He's an old man who plays bluegrass, why is it hard to believe he'd play there?

This is a pretty hilarious misunderstanding, but I don't think him playing rr hotel is nearly as weird as glen matlock and tommy ramone playing jammin java.

The bass player for England's biggest punk band and the drummer for America's biggest punk band team up nearly 40 years later to play an acoustic set at a second tier venue situated in a suburban Virginia strip mall.

You're absolutely right…This was totally predictable.
Way more predictable than the guitarist and sometime lead singer/songwriter for one of the best selling bands in the history of music who HAS had a reasonably successful solo career playing the Rock and Roll Hotel.

Tommy Ramone, the last surviving member of the original Ramones lineup, and Glen Matlock, who was the original bassist for the Sex Pistols, are teaming up for the "Acoustic Anarchy Tour." The duo will perform a mix of acoustic punk and bluegrass at the Westcott Theater in Syracuse on Tuesday, March 19th, with doors opening at 7 p.m.

At one time or another I knew or was friends with many of the folks that passed through that band.  Me and Gene were working together a bit around the time of his death…woke up for work and was waiting for the crew (Gene included) to pick me up.  Our boss (a close friend of mine who was best friends with Gene) came to scoop me up and gave me the horrible news.  We had to go and do the job.  It was a horrible horrible day.  I didn't know Gene well.  He had his share of demons..but an incredible talent and a great and charismatic guy to be around.  Our poor mutual friend, to this day, has never been the same.   :'(
Any of you guys listen to Sean and Zander?

Did I already post Cloud Cult - BC - 4/13? I keep forgetting who is my CC buddy?

Here I am!

I posted about it a few pages back.  I will definitely be in attendance (will be my fourth or fifth show). I am excited to hear their new music. That last one was so different… so upbeat.

Cool. It's a Sat. (and not at RnR) so I might actually be able to go! Sorry I am forgetful…bresnner likes most of the same artists I do, sometimes I confuse when time lapses.
