Just Announced

I am a huge fan of pregame

It can make your night…if you are with people going to show it can be a lot of fun.. everyone is excited

Meeting up right before show and going in is a bit of a waste

Uncle Glenn actually died about three days after I posted that. It was weird.

Thanks but we were very much not close. It had been at least 8 years since I saw him.

Thursday vs. Tuesday. Apples vs. Oranges. Beginning of week always has less. Let's see what the case count is for THIS Thursday, May 13.
So is it 'bring out your dead' Thursdays now?

There's a thread specifically for integers.

Fair enough. Let's talk in a few days.

But I see this figure every single day and its went down daily since you've posted this. On the day you posted about 856 new cases, the 7 day rolling average was 865. A week before that on 4/29, new cases were 1187 with a 7 day rolling average of 1051. (A decrease of 18.7% in one week).

Today, on a non-Thursday, our 7-day average is 658 [on 561 new daily cases], already down 24% from last Thursday. This is on path to cut by over 50% in three weeks and should hit within 7 days the lowest figure we've had since approx March 20th.

Sidehatch too

I remain upbeat
We also reached the lowest COVID-related hospital census yesterday since March 24th, 2020.

You expect the person with a nearly 20 year streak of being negative and downer about everything to be upbeat about anything Covid? Come on now!
I just made a python joke

That's funny. I consider myself pretty upbeat and positive.

In regard to COVID, we're definitely headed in the right direction. Pretty much on target with what was predicted here:

https://covid19-projections.com/path-to-herd-immunity/

But I have an unvaccinated kid and at least two relatives who are refusing to be vaccinated. So I'm not ready to declare normalcy just yet.
