ooh, ooh . . . i've loved these guys from the first album.  how gay!  ;)
I couldn't be more pleased that Goblin Cock are coming 'round to our parts again. I mean, LOOK AT THAT COVER. It could be an Okkervil River side project, or an Ani DiFranco goof, and I'd still be firm on board.

Heh heh, I'm "firm on board"

Seth? Please?

3/26 in ATL

It'll probably be something lame like SF, LA, Chi, NYC, ATL, MI (ultra fest).

3/27 Irving Plaza NYC
Neko Case's website is listing 4/8 AND 4/9 at 9:30

I suppose it's much like the Lucinda shows… sell one - pop the other up…
I swear tickets.com had both Lucinda shows up together at one point.

i'm starting to think this place be called, "the shows that azag thinks you should know about."
I'm pretty sure at least 1-2 people here will go to that one.

If it was a weekend show in DC, I probably would. Not in NYC tho.

For those into '80s comebacks:

Cabaret Voltaire are doing 2 shows in the UK. One in London and the other in their home of Sheffield. Maybe later shows but I suspect they want to see how things take off before any other commitments.

Also, The Durutti Column have something up their sleeve. I can't remember exactly what shows I heard scheduled but it's a bit more firm than the Cabaret Voltaire gigs.

Can I just move this into the Hey Seth thread?

I got the chance to DJ his last appearance at the club and would jump at the chance to do it again…  Overall the show was pretty good with his 60s and more recent material being the best.  The section with his 70s country stuff not so interesting…. It's also odd that when he started out the women were throwing the actual panties they were wearing, now they just bring a extra pair along. So much for liberation :D
I'm SO all over this Tom Jones show! His last album wasn't that bad!

Y.e.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s!

I'm in!

Count me in as well for Booka Shade. I'm seeing Juana Molina earlier that day at Le Poisson Rouge at 7:30, and Booka Shade (and whoever opens) doesn't go on until 10. Perfect!
Did Tom Jones sell out pretty quick last time?  I hate having to wait a day or so to buy tickets, but…

Last time the show was only about 3/4 full as memory serves…
Wasn't he at the Birchmere within the past year for like $90?  It seems that most of the venues for this tour are charging $60ish.
