Has that guy not fallen back to 8x10 club status yet?

Edit: I don't know, Walkies. He was a Phish tour rat before he came up with the Hasidic Jew reggae dude gimmick.
this sounds like fun:

10.28.10 White Lodge covers KID A @ Windup Space

White Lodge exists about once a year to play a cover show (last year was Twin Peaks Fest, playing the music of Angelo Badalamenti).  This year we're covering Radiohead's KID A front to back for it's 10th anniversary.  It sounds pretty awesome, I think.  The lineup features members of Out of Your Head, Quartet Offensive, Soul Cannon, Ellen Cherry, etc.  Details for the show:

Thursday, October 28, 2010
White Lodge plays KID A @ Windup Space
12 W North Ave
8pm doors, 9pm Andrew Edmonds Vinyl Showcase; 10pm White Lodge
$5

Nick Prevas-guitar, effects; Adam Hopkins-bass; Jon Birkholz-keyboards, accordian, vocals; Eric Trudel-vocals, sax; Matt Frazao-guitar, effects, vocals; Ellen Cherry-vocals; John Dierker, Ben Frock, Brent Madsen, Cam Collins-horn section (rawkus National Antheming).

jesus . . . as if bands doing whole albums wasn't bad enough.  now other bands are doing other bands albums.  always hated it when phish did it.  what's the next rage, bands doing covers of cover bands' performances.  its a whole new genre.

no . . . that's a cover band doing covers of a real band's performance.  i was talking the other way around, where the real bands do exact copies of a cover band's set.  go have another drunken jolt cola.
It appears that whoever mentioned Prince not having a DC show and just making it a NY focused tour may be right so far.

Geez, not even the crystal ball gave me a hint about this one. Maybe I should work for you, azag! & thanks!
This post gave me  a good idea for a rule for the Just Announced thread….In order to respond to a post/ask a question/make a comment or snarky remark/whathaveyou you also have to post an actual JUST ANNOUNCED show.  Killsaly asked about Dan Deacon, but also contributed to the thread by announcing the latest area WU show.  Its EASY PEASEY,  let me give it a try…

I havent seen this listed on here yet..but according to Pollstar, : St Patricks Day at 9:30:
Loretta Lynn.

Hey, the Gentleman Jesse show (previously at DC9) has finally found a home! They're on the bill with Marnie Stern at the Hotel tonight and I'm pretty pleased.
Only problem with this rule, is that the mythical aphex date will become oft repeated
Gogol Bordello

Man Man opening on 12/30, Trouble Funk on the 31st.

Looks like there is a presale going on but it requires a PW.
