It'll be a great show if people would shut the hell up or go down to the Red Room to yak it up. When Low was at the Black Cat last February there was so much noise from the back it drowned out the band at times.

I agree…I won't be going to see Low again if it's at the Black Cat. The February show was infuriating. I haven't encountered anything that bad in years.

Not me. My attendance is wayyyy off this year (since 'bout March).

I'm not sure what your taste range is…but my observation is that Iota seems to be bringing in less national Americana talent, and bringing in more garagey, indie rock and Britpop style bands that aren't popular enough to play Black Cat, as well as filling out the roster with more local acts than before.

Hmm, I agree with this part. Seems there are more artists from west or north of the city. Nothing is jumping out at me and not much buzz here about their show for months. (I knew I should have created a thread…Sorry for the OT).
