Hung out with him in Seattle one night after a Minus 5 show and he is one of the nicest people ever. Will be donating. That sucks.

It's already 9K over the 75K goal. How far over goal are people allowed to go?
I have seen these things go way over..people can be generous if word spreads via social media…and with it being thanksgiving…not you of course…but yah not everybody assumes peter buck should take care of it
did notice some of his musical friends chipped in

$100 Jon Langford
$100 Chrissie and Slim Dunlap

slim also suffered a stroke in 2012 :(
Slim's stroke is why Paul and Tommy got back together briefly for the Filthy Lucre Tour
Robyn Hitchcock just shared a link to the gofundme and wrote some nice words about scott…..and when i clicked on link i saw he had just donated $1000 which was surprising given peter buck should pay for it all…

yeah, Scott is very cool and very nice, and his memory is amazing…. I was chatting with him after a show (can't recall if it was a Hitchcock Venus 3 or Baseball Project show) and I was telling him that I was just listening to Soft Boys audience recording where he cracked a joke, saying "what do you think about the pairing of the Soft Boys and the Young Fresh Fellows? gayest tour ever?"… he says, "oh yeah, Irving Plaza 2001"…. dude remembers random between song chatter from a specific show when he's probably played thousands….
On Monday, @930Club owner Seth Hurwitz sits down with Kojo. Check out images from the club's history and let us know what questions we should ask him.  https://t.co/v1JsYKMhDb

I'm going to come off sounding like a total dick here, but as deep and wide as this guy has travelled in music circles, is he really poor enough to necessitate a gofundme campaign to help pay his medical bills? And if he is, Michael Stipe or Peter Buck alone could probably singlehandedly pay off the guy's medical bills  and not bat an eye.

tis the season! #classicSpace

If I believed for one second the cowardly paper-tiger didn't insist on his calls being screened to avoid questions about his unfair labor practices, hatred of his customers, transition to a walrus, and refusal to post set times, this would be a great opportunity to expose him as the fraud he is.

Your shtick is growing old.

Great interview Seth, still want the 930 forum AMA when you're ready!
