Although there was merriweather and the surprise gig at the 930 after the tibet freedom fest at rfk

Considering the Tibet  Freedom Concert was in 1996 and the MPP gig was in 2003, I'd say the ship has long sailed.

yes, but the IMP folks are trying to persuade artists play arena dates at the Anthem. Sometimes they agree, sometimes they don't.  Lorde will be at the Anthem in the middle of an arena tour.  Sam Smith wouldn't deviate from the arenas and will play capOne.

Radiohead is a Live Nation act

Haven't stepped foot at the Lube since the infamous Radiohead Monsoon of 2008. What a horrible experience that was.
So you missed Journey with Pineda?!?!????

I had GA pit tickets and was able to slip into the lot (before cops turned folks away), sprint under the overhang, and enjoy Radiohead play a killer set list on the IR tour from about 10 yards from the stage.

I get that that night was an epic shitshow for most and I sympathize.

However, it was the best outdoor show I have ever been to (ducks).
Oh now you done it

Right there with you only I had seats.  Two nights before we had a really hard time getting into the Charlotte amphitheater, so I was already stressed to get to Bristow.  Had my friends meet me near Target out there at 4 PM and hit the lot after that.  Sat in the car in a downpour til doors opened.  If I had not had such a hard time in Charlotte, I would have been in the 'traffic diverted' crowd at Bristow.
I am disappointed by the lack of reminisces of the Great Bull Run Radiohead Fiasco of '01.

I didn't want to bring it up.  It still hurts.  I missed that whole tour and have hit them hard for multiple shows just about every tour since.
Bagels, coffee, juice, the paper, and lawn chairs were all ready to go out to Bull Run.  Aborted just in time.

Would you like to hear about the time the girl with blue hair gave me a backstage pass to the Pixies show in London in 89?

I retract my initial comment. May the troll armies rain down fire like the hammer of the Gods.
