Just Announced

Your mama. Seriously, you don't trust me? What's wrong with you people. I did not make up the Boredoms date, did I? Ok, I understood it when people started asking for a source on the Boredoms date…but Hot Chip…unacceptable.

My only reason for asking was I remembered Hot Chip coming in April of last year and I was worried that maybe you saw old 07 dates and thought they were 2008 dates, and I didn't want to get excited if they weren't coming. Cheers.
So is Hot Chip touring with a human on drums this time out? While they were good, think I'll pass if it's the same setup as last year.
So it's:

Malkmus->Raveonettes->Jens->Boredoms over six days? Holy shit!

I dont think so. You're missing out if you miss their tour this year, even though…they previewed a LOT of the new album at their show last year.
woot! i saw Hot Chip during their last run through here and it was awesome awesome - despite it being only a little more than half full and hardly anyone was dancing…

they played w/Pat Mahoney of LCD on drums at Sonar b/c their drum machine guy was not with them for some reason… and they apologized - as if it were a bad thing. :)

(it sounded amazing, btw)

the moaners are opening. they are good and the singer is sexy. saw them at iota back in the spring, solid stuff.
And the girl singer dates the girl drummer.

The new Mountain Goats left me a little underwhelmed after one listen.

Is he with a full band live or does he play solo?
The drummer is a bit …"manly"…

No?

I saw the Moaners at SxSW. Blah di blah blah. One of my least liked bands (outdone by Rock Central Plaza at the same showcase).
