but I thought it was a great show too.  Thought the sound was top notch (probably easier with only one person on stage)
Malkmus's Guitar was fantastic and just enjoyed listening to him riff
the banter was annoying, kind of a shame as the man is a legend, but he's doing the state fair circuit and has got to be demeaning

Funny thing about this set list as I was remarking that, yes there was a lot of Kraut Rock in his new stuff, but I was hearing a lot of Syd Era Floyd stuff…obviously he was thinking the same thing (yes, no Syd songs on this list tho…)

just in case you didn't know: for the amex presale you don't need a code, you need an amex card.  they may or may not ask you for the 1-800 number on the back on the card, but ultimately you'll need to pay with an amex.  so if you don't have one, borrow someone's.

BTW I have one, just wasn't sure if it was a special type of AMEX
as I see some of the Nick Cave shows when I log into the AMEX site, but not the DC show (which is being sold via Tickefly, not ticketmaster )
